the whole place is like the old Avis commercial "We're not number #1 but we try harder"!! They will never be a huge strip property with a giant nightclub and big fountains but why help pay for all that? My room was recently renovated and the first thing I smelled coming into my room was NEW CARPET! I was very happy to see the room renovations, along with the upgrades to the pool area, it really is becoming a much nicer property than the old Terriblest. Bianca at the front desk and the rest of the staff are amazing. After living in LV for 5.5 years and also working in the gaming industry, I can tell you first hand that this is one of the hidden deals in LV. Even if you are willing to pay this fee - it is wrong to not have it in the original booking price and to have it as an additional charge on check in. I have learned since then you can go to and find a listing of hotels in the area that do not charge this fee. Overall - it was a place to sleep that was not crawling with bugs (at least that could be seen) but it was not a good experience and I would look for other accommodations in the future. The person in the room next to me was hanging their items in the closet and it was easy to hear each one being hung up. There was no coffee maker, there was a desk.but no chair. REDICULOUS! Next, it is Vegas.Water is important, but not only did they not have water, the vending machines were not anywhere but the main floor and the store was not open to get water most of the time. She was most likely doing her best, this was just not the career field for her. The front desk was completely unhelpful with information on this or any other information for that matter. Upon arrival, there was the notification of the $100 deposit, which was refundable (understandable) and then the $111.00 "resort fee". It seemed like a reasonable deal for what I needed. This hotel was booked for a conference being held at UNLV. I am still trying to work this out so I can get this submitted to my work. There are summary charges with categories that do not match the itemization. Now, looking at a receipt, it doesn't make sense. I called a second time and waited on the line for them to send it. I called a few hours later asking for one, and they said they would send it. Upon check out the front desk was unable to provide me a receipt.
They do not let food delivery drivers deliver to the room. I got yelled at by a security dude to take my hood off because I came in from out the cold. I have never seen carpets that bad anywhere. I had to call and ask for a confirmation email for the stay when I booked it. I was coming into town for a conference and all of the conference hotels were booked so I picked this hotel.
I found all of the professional communication severely lacking.
